Hey! Welcome to this blog, I usually do not publish any personal or professional blogs partly because of social anxiety and partly due to there being no content to post lmao and I'm pretty sure this is first time I'm doing something like this so excited and nervous! So this is quite an important project for me to be honest!
I still remember when I initially suggested the idea of hosting a basic database for the club during our first SY meeting in May of 2024, I feel that was the moment I conceptualized this whole thing and through trial and error I along with other members of the club built it to what it is right now and hopefully the same process of evolution continues in future... It was a very random idea to begin with, one which I got since I had my Obsidian app opened to take some notes. It was very primitive to begin with. I had no idea where I could host it, what will be the file structure and how people will even access it!
But my approach to developing the idea into what it is today was quite straightforward - I observed the problems, found the tools on the internet and if I was satisfied with them, I'd creatively figure out how I could use the said tool in the repository which later turned into a linux server and now is the Resources Team and how I can customize things to make sure that the entire cost of this whole project remains 0 INR. If you are reading this by the way, comment "0xA3F9D6B1C" in FIP 25 group, just for fun.
I have implemented all the software that will be offered by Resources either through searching extensively on the internet for the solution to an issue or a problem or I integrated the software that I personally use in my daily life to the Resources Stack (eg. Atlassian Workspace). Its all about the approach, where to look and the resourcefulness (hence Resources duh) that has helped us conceptualize and build the Resources Team.
Resources Stack has been a result of almost an year worth of hard work and research that I and other members of the Team have put in for us to be where we are right now.
I hope you guys, SYs and FYs will carry this forward and innovate by building over what we have managed to do till now and will be doing in this academic year and in the process, brick by brick help us make the Astro Club one of the best college clubs in the country. There I said it. That's what we are aiming for, to innovate and to be the best in business!
I look forward to working with all of you to make the Repository and the Resources team a huge success and well the second best department of the Astro Club! (can never dethrone Finance now can we?)
Thank You!
